What is the main difference between MVHS and the many other organizations that solicit funds through the mail?
The Minnesota Valley Humane Society has been serving the greater south metro area since 1981. We take in approximately 4000 animals each year and find them new, loving homes. We also have many community outreach services, including: Canine U training for dogs and puppies, behavior helpline, humane education programs for children and adults, and animal ambassadors who visit nursing homes, care facilities, community events, and businesses. In addition, we support several area food shelves with pet food and supplies, maintain an on-line library of companion animal related information, share a listing of apartments that accept pets, and we try to help anyone who contacts us with their companion animal questions and concerns. Each year, the Minnesota Valley Humane Society helps thousands of local families and their companion animals.
The Minnesota Valley Humane Society does not receive funding from any national, regional, or local humane organization. We also do not receive any government funding. Each year, we must raise all the money we need to fund our operations. We appreciate all donations.
