If I make a gift to an organization like HSUS, AHA, ASPCA or PETA, does MVHS receive a portion of my gift?

No. Donations given to national organizations do not trickle down to local animal shelters. There is no national organization which fundraises for local animal welfare organizations. The Minnesota Valley Humane Society, like more than 4,000 other animal shelters across the United States, is an independent, non-profit charity. Each year, MVHS must raise the money it needs to fund its own programs and services. Every donation given to the Minnesota Valley Humane Society helps animals and families right here in our local communities.
