Kids LOVE Animals! The Minnesota Valley Humane Society in association with Humane Society: Youth provide KIND News, a monthly newspaper, to local K-6 classrooms. Learn more about KIND News at http://www.kindnews.org/

KIND News not only teaches kids about responsible pet care, it also focuses on good character by emphasizing core values such as honesty, compassion, and fairness. It aims to teach children the importance of treating animals, natural habitats, and one another with kindness and respect.

Approximately 35,000 teachers use the monthly newspaper nationwide to supplement their science, reading, writing, and character education curricula. Local teachers can also benefit from MVHS' Humane Educator, Kara DeVriendt, who visits classrooms and provides shelter tours to complement the monthly newspaper.

Give each child in a local classroom or an entire school a subscription to the monthly newspaper, KIND News. The cost is only $30 per classroom for the entire school year! Each student receives a copy of KIND News every month throughout the school year.
