The Minnesota Valley Humane Society has a wide range of specially trained animal ambassadors we use to educate children and adults. Please click here to learn more about Big Red and our famous animal ambassadors.
We provide information to assist you find your lost pet and/or help prevent a loss.
To begin investigation of a problem, first report the abuse to your local animal control officer and see if they can handle the situation without our assistance. If you need further assistance, please call us for additional information.
If you live in the Twin Cities area, you can recieve a free ID tag by visiting the Minnesota Valley Humane Society. You can also purchase a personalized ID tag from our online store.
Do you know that the temperature inside a parked car can reach 160 degrees within minutes in the summer, even with the windows partially open? MVHS is helping warn people of the danger to pets of heatstroke or death by providing "Hot Dog Cards." These bright red cards serve as a warning to keep pets at home on hot days. The cards are distributed to security personel at local shopping centers, animal control officers and are also available to the general public. Pick some up today.
We also produce educational materials encouraging indoor-only cats.
The Minnesota Valley Humane Society offers the following classes to the community.

Minnesota Valley Humane Society
We are open six days a week: Tuesday through Friday, noon to 6 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm. We are closed on Mondays.
